Client

Oslo Kommune - Helsetaten (Oslo health authority)

Oslo Kommune, Helseetaten. Kombo is an internal application built for the caseworkers who manage applications for municipal housing support.

 2021-2022

Value for client

Led the design of the internal application, working directly with case managers to fit real day-to-day workflows rather than a generic case-management template.

  • Interviewed Oslo Kommune's case management team to map pain points and daily tasks, then translated those into the flows and screens they needed.

  • Built the interface inside Oslo Kommune's existing design system, so Kombo felt consistent with the rest of the municipality's tools from day one.

  • Worked closely with developers throughout, handing off detailed specs and staying involved through implementation.

  • Ran training sessions to help case managers move onto the new system with minimal disruption.

  • Ran usability testing throughout the project, which reduced task completion time and improved user satisfaction.
